TRAVEL TO COLQUITE HOLIDAY COTTAGE

By Car
From the M5 in Devon there are two main roads into Cornwall, the A30 (which avoids Plymouth) and the A38/A390, where there may be hold-ups,particularly heading onto the Tamar Bridge.

A38

From the A38 at the roundabout about 2 miles after Liskeard take the exit onto the A390 for St Austell.
At East Taphouse turn left onto the B3359.
Continue approximately eight miles, turn right (sign posted Bodinnick, Polruan and Fowey via Ferry). After approximately four miles you will come to Lanteglos Highway. Go through Lanteglos Highway, ignore the small lanes to the right and left. After about 200 metres turn right down a tarmac track. There is a field on your left and a field on your right. There is a hand written sign saying COLQUITE by the entrance to the track. If you get to a row of bungalows you have gone too far. Go down the track and fork right and then take the first right through the granite pillars and you are at Colquite Cottage.

A30

From the A30 about 10 miles after Launceston take the turning for Jamaica Inn. Just before the Inn turn left sign posted St. Cleer and Golitha Falls. This narrow road runs beside the river Fowey. At the T-junction, just after Golitha Falls (on your right) turn right. Continue on this road for about 2 miles until there is a left fork which you take to  Dobwalls. Turn right at the mini rounabout, follow the main road through Dobwalls and you will join the roundabout at the end of the Dobwalls by-pass (A38). Take the A390 and continue as above.

FROM WEST CORNWALL

From the west follow signs for St Austell and the A390.
After St Austell leave the A390 at the roundabout junction with the A3082.
Continue on the A3082 through Par following signs for Fowey.
At the mini roundabout go straight across following signs for docks and vehicle ferry.
Take the vehicle ferry to Bodinnick, the cost for a single car trip is around £4.50.
Colquite Cottage is approximately one and a half miles from the ferry, down a tarmac track on your left marked Colquite (see para from A38).
